Christmas lights

As tradition would have it, we drive around town for an hour searching for decently decorated house with Christmas lights. Saturday night was the night to do that. We found some pretty good houses. The girls were mesmerized. It was really fun to see them get so excited.

Last Day of Preschool

Fall Semester is over. It was a big day for Katie. Two birthday parties, classroom party, a Christmas wreath, and Snowman project. That makes for a crazy morning and a long afternoon nap for her. Now that school is out, I better start thinking of ways to keep my kids entertained or it is going to be a long Christmas break :)

P.S. Katie picked out her clothes. Took them out of the dresser. And got dressed. All by herself and without me asking. Yeah! When your kid does that who cares their shirt is on backwards, they don't button their pants, and their hair is a little crazy.

The week of first everything

Scripture day. Katie stood up and valiantly tried to give the scripture in the Primary closing exercises. It was so fun.

First day of preschool this year. She was a pro this year. She ran right in and didn't even look back. Which actually makes the whole experience a lot more pleasant.

Katie had her 4th birthday this week as well. Yeah! She got a "big girl" bike. I cannot believe how big she is. And the bell was her favorite part.

I made my very first themed birthday cake. I thought my butterfly cake turned out pretty good for a newbie.

This week was Katie's first dance class. She didn't dance at all. But, she loved the outfit.

It turned out to be a super busy, exhausting week. But...full of good things.

Sarah's 1st birthday

Sarah is officially one now! It feels like last year went by really, really fast. We love Sarah so much and are so grateful for the things that she brings to our home. She has changed so much in one year and we look forward to all of the changes that will come in the next year.

Sarah loves her treats. She loves them so much she didn't even get her high-chair dirty. She dropped her cupcake once and after that everything went straight to her mouth. Which made for a great clean up. But, we didn't get any pictures. By the time we got the camera she had devoured her birthday cake.
Baby #2 has a totally different life experience then baby #1. The whole world is about baby #1. But Sarah has a great easy going personality. She shared nicely when Katie swooped in to try out the new toys. Happy Birthday!
